Candy Crunch is a match three puzzle built around one thing: the crunch. Line up three or more sweets and they are not tidied away, they are seized and held while cracks run through them, then they shatter into flying shards and the whole tray kicks. Every crunch sounds slightly different, because every one of them is built from scratch as it happens.

WHAT EACH LEVEL WANTS Levels are not the same puzzle with a bigger number on it. One wants a score. The next wants a pile of two particular sweets. The next covers the board in sugar crust that can only be broken by crunching on top of it, twice where it is thick.

THE CRUNCH METER Every sweet you crunch fills the meter along the bottom. Fill it and spend it on a sugar rush that tears the board apart. It is earned by playing. It is never sold, and it never expires.

WHAT THE MATCHES LEAVE BEHIND Four in a row leaves a striped sweet that clears a whole line. A match that turns a corner leaves a wrapped sweet that blows a hole three by three. Five leaves a sprinkle bomb you can swap onto any sweet to take that entire colour.

NO LIVES. NO TIMERS. No hearts to run out of. No energy bar. No being told to come back in twenty minutes, and nothing to pay to carry on. Lose a level and the button says play again, because that is the only sensible thing for it to say.
