Djupkarta – lake depth maps

See the bottom before you go out. Djupkarta puts the depth of Swedish lakes on your phone: tap anywhere on the water to read the depth at that point, see the depth under the boat with GPS, and find the edges, holes and shallow spots where the fish are.

3,384 Swedish lakes have a digital depth map – surveyed depths, redrawn as close depth contours and fitted to the national map of Sweden (Lantmäteriet). The map, your position and the measuring tools work on all 79,116 lakes.

THE DEPTH MAP
• Depth – tap the water and read the depth under your finger, with the resolution stated.
• Under the boat – the phone's GPS looks up the depth below you in the map that is already on the phone.
• Profile – two taps, and you see the shape of the bottom between them: the drop-off, the shelf, the hole.
• Show one depth only – tap a depth band, and only that depth stays on the map. Find 6–8 meters on the whole lake at once.
• Edges and holes – the lake's deepest holes, steepest edges and shallow spots, in a list. Tap a row and the map moves there.
• Slope – where the bottom drops, in orange on the map.
• Follow a depth – choose a depth, and the phone tells you when the boat leaves it, also with the screen off.
• Winter: plan the holes – choose a depth, and an arrow from the phone's compass points to the nearest spot of that depth, with the distance.

FREE ON EVERY LAKE
• The map and where you are.
• Measure a distance or an area.
• Log a depth – save places with the depth you measured and a note. They collect in your logbook.
• Share a place – send a link; it opens on the map for the person you send it to.
• Which lake am I on? – one tap when you are at the water.

A PASS PER LAKE – in-app purchase
You open the depth map per lake: one week or one year. The same map and the same tools in both – you only choose how long. A week can become a year for the difference. Each pass is a one-time purchase, and the app reminds you before it ends.

Bought a pass on digitaldjupkarta.se? Log in with the same email and it is in the app – and a pass bought in the app works on the website once you add your email.

MADE FOR THE BOAT AND THE ICE
Big buttons for wet hands. The depth under the boat is worked out on the phone. The lakes you hold a pass for are saved on the phone and open without signal.

Not a nautical chart. The depth map shows the bottom as it was surveyed – for navigation, use official charts.
