About LifeCompanion
LifeCompanion is a free, open-source, customized digital assistant for communication assistance (AAC). Highly customizable, it can be used by anyone with communication disorders.
This mobile application is linked to the desktop version of LifeCompanion available on Windows. The desktop version allows you to create and customize configurations, and this mobile application allows you to use them. It is not possible to edit the content of the configurations directly in this application.
LifeCompanion is based on three core values.
Digital Assistant:
LifeCompanion promotes the social participation and autonomy of its users in communication, access to IT, education, employment, etc. It also contributes to social connections, particularly with informal and professional caregivers.
Customized:
LifeCompanion is customizable to meet the different needs of individuals and uses in facilities or at home. It adapts to the motor, visual, auditory, and cognitive abilities of all, as well as to their development.
Common good:
LifeCompanion is co-designed by and for field stakeholders, in close collaboration with end users. We have chosen to share it for free to make it accessible to as many people as possible. Its open-source distribution guarantees its transparency and sustainability.
