About Chadian Arabic Lectionary

This app provides daily readings in Chadian Arabic from the Catholic lectionary. The references follow the Traduction Officielle Liturgique, but the Scripture texts are drawn from the Bible in Chadian Arabic (Al-Kitaab al-Mukhaddas, الكتاب المُقدّس), published in 2019 by the Alliance biblique du Tchad (used with permission).

Navigate by month and day for the period Dec 2024-Nov 2025 (Year C). Updates are planned to provide readings for future years (Years A and B). A selection of several of the common prayers translated into Chadian Arabic is also available in the app. And there are a variety of tools included for searching, making personal annotations in the texts, and sharing a favorite verse with an inspirational image on social media. You can also easily share the app with friends over Bluetooth or Xender.
