About AI-DISC-Lite

AI-DISC Rice is a mobile application developed to support rice farmers in the field-level identification of major rice diseases.

The application allows users to capture or select an image of a symptomatic rice plant and provides AI-assisted disease identification along with relevant disease information and advisory support. It is designed as a decision-support tool to help farmers, extension workers, students and researchers recognize rice disease symptoms more easily in field conditions.

AI-DISC Rice has been developed at ICAR–Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute (ICAR-IASRI), New Delhi, an institute of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), an autonomous organization under the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Government of India.
