Ake Arts and Book Festival is four days of cultural immersion. Organised by the Book Buzz Foundation, the festival is designed to promote, develop and celebrate creativity on the African continent through panel discussions, workshops, bookchats, plays, dance, poetry events, concerts and art exhibitions.
The theme for this year's edition of the festival is African Time. We feature over 190 guests from over 38 countries speaking. This year, we are focused on how Africa can recalibrate and position itself for development. The festival will be live streamed from 22 — 25 October, 2020. Streaming location can be accessed through the app. Access is free.
Download the Ake Festival app to gain access to exciting events including a concert featuring musicians from Africa and the African diaspora, an insightful documentary about Nigeria's musical elders and poetry from Africa's finest performers.
