ISHTAR

One person, chosen for you.

ISHTAR is not a swiping app. There are no endless catalogues, no showcases, no evenings lost scrolling through profiles. In every matchmaking round we introduce you to a single verified person who fits what you're looking for. One connection at a time, chosen with care.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Build your profile. Just the essentials: who you are, what you're looking for, and a couple of photos.
2. Get verified. Someone on our team reviews every account before it goes live. Only real profiles get in.
3. Join a matchmaking round. Whenever you feel like it. No obligation, no rush.
4. Meet your connection. If there's a good fit, we introduce you. If there isn't, you calmly wait for the next round — we'd rather introduce you to no one than to just anyone.

YOU CHOOSE HOW IT BEGINS

When your connection arrives, you decide how to start:

• Voice — you propose a call. You agree on the day and time together, and nothing is set until the other person confirms.
• Message — you start in the chat, at your own pace.

And if it isn't right for you, you can say no. Your decision stays private: the other person will never know who declined.

VOICE CALLS INSIDE THE APP

Calls happen inside ISHTAR, with no phone numbers exchanged. They are private and never recorded. A voice tells you far more than a profile does — which is why it sits at the heart of the app.

BUILT FOR ADULTS

• Verified profiles only, reviewed by a real person.
• No gamification, no streaks, no likes, no popularity metrics.
• Optional voice notes on your profile, audible only to your connection.
• Your preferences are private and are never shown to other users.
• Your phone number is never shown to anyone.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY

• GDPR compliant: view, export or delete your data whenever you want.
• Report any inappropriate behaviour — reports are confidential and reviewed by a person.
• Every moderation decision is explained and can be appealed, in line with the European Union Digital Services Act (DSA).
• Optional consents can be withdrawn at any time from within the app.

TICKETS

Joining a matchmaking round costs one ticket. If you cancel your participation, or if no one turns out to be a fit, it is refunded. You get a welcome bonus when you sign up, and you earn tickets by inviting friends.

ISHTAR is for people aged 18 and over.
