About Contacts in Folders
People helps you organize and enrich your contacts beyond the default address book. What you can do: Create folder-based contact structure for fast navigation Import contacts from Apple Contacts Add your own nickname and notes to each person Keep your data synced across devices with iCloud Open linked Apple contact cards when available Show custom caller labels (folder path + nickname) on incoming calls via Call Directory Why People: Better structure than a flat contact list Extra context for every person Works alongside Apple Contacts, not against it Important: Caller labels require enabling the People extension in iOS Settings (Phone > Call Blocking & Identification). iOS controls call UI behavior, so labels appear when allowed by system rules.

Call reminders now ring like alarms • A call reminder rings even in Silent mode or during a Focus. Tap Call on the alarm to phone the person. • Daily and weekly reminders keep ringing without opening the app. • Dismiss for Today skips only today; the next one rings as planned. A new look for iOS 26 • Glass toolbars, and a tab bar that shrinks as you scroll. • On iPad, your folders sit in a sidebar beside your contacts. Find and organize faster • Search looks in every folder and shows where each person or folder lives. • Select several people or folders and move or delete them together. • Move a folder into another folder. • Touch and hold a person or folder for quick actions. People • Tapping a person opens a page that's easy to read, and editing is one form. • Share a person's details from their page. • People are listed by last name, then first name. Fixes • The New Person sheet opens right away, whatever is on the clipboard. • Deleting a person removes their Today row and closes their page. • The Today summary updates as soon as you dismiss a call. • Changes from your other devices show up right away. Requires iOS 26.
