About Morrow: Read and Listen

Morrow is an ebook reader with narrators built in. Read a chapter, listen to the next, and pick up at the very sentence you left. Narration runs right on your iPhone or iPad. No account, no cloud, and no internet once it's downloaded. Your books never leave your device. READ • Pages set like a printed book, in the type, size and look you like • Two pages side by side on iPad in landscape • Highlights, notes and bookmarks, and export them when you're done • Search the whole book LISTEN • Tap Listen and your narrator starts where you were reading, underlining each word as it goes • Lock your iPhone and they read on, with controls on the Lock Screen • Change the speed, skip back 15 seconds or ahead 30, jump between chapters • A sleep timer that can end with the chapter • Switch between reading and listening any time, and keep your place MEET THE NARRATORS Every narrator has a name, a face and a way of reading. Margaret and Arthur are British, Mae is from the South, Hank is Texan, Elsie is from Yorkshire, Jack is Australian, Julian is Mid-Atlantic. Tap a face to hear them, and choose who reads to you. Make your own narrator at morrowreader.com/narrators, from a recording of a voice or a few words describing one. A narrator is a small file: open it in Morrow and they join the others, and share them with anyone. EXPRESSIVE Expressive is Morrow's most natural narration. It reads with feeling: a pause before a reveal, a lift in a question, and a surer way with names and places. It downloads once from Apple, about 1 GB, and gets ready on your device. Until then, Standard reads right away, and Expressive takes over at the next chapter. All twenty-four narrators read in Expressive, which runs on English books on devices with 8 GB of memory: iPhone 15 Pro and later, iPad Pro and iPad Air with M2 or later, and iPad mini with A17 Pro. Elsewhere, eight narrators read in Standard. YOUR SHELF Every book shows where you are, in pages and in hours of listening. Finished books get a quiet check. Sort by what you read last, what you added, how far you are, title or author. Reading Life shows your habit taking shape: the hours you read and listened, the days you picked up a book, and every book you finished. Share it as a card if you like. It all stays on your device. YOUR BOOKS Morrow opens EPUBs without DRM. Start with Pride and Prejudice or The Odyssey, one tap away on the first screen, or add your own from Files, Safari, Mail or AirDrop. Standard Ebooks and Project Gutenberg have thousands of free classics. Free. No account, no ads, no in-app purchases.

What’s new

Version 1.1 · Updated November 2, 2026

Twenty-four narrators, each with a name and a face. Tap a face on the shelf to hear them, and choose who reads to you. Make your own at morrowreader.com/narrators. Expressive now takes over at the next chapter, never mid-sentence, and a first-run welcome lets you start reading at once, download on cellular, or keep Standard. Screen titles set in the books' serif, a narrator's face in Settings, ragged right at the largest text sizes, and accessibility fixes throughout.
