About Fanficly: Fanfiction Reader

Fanficly is a calm, private, and unofficial home for the Archive of Our Own (AO3) fanfiction you love. Free on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with automatic iCloud sync. READ WITHOUT BORDERS Fanficly is completely private. You can use the app to browse, search, and read without ever logging in. Your library, reading history, and bookmarks are stored locally on your device and synced securely via iCloud. No tracking, no ads, and no analytical servers. SEARCH THAT FINDS IT Type what you're after — a fandom, ship, trope, title, or author. As you type, tap suggestions straight from AO3's tag list to filter by the exact tag, then narrow by rating, length, or completion. Recent and saved searches are one tap away. SEAMLESS IMPORT & DRAG-AND-DROP Bring your favorite stories with you. Queue and import AO3 links directly from Safari using the system share sheet, or drag and drop EPUB files directly into the app. Export your library or individual works back to EPUB, PDF, or HTML anytime. A READER CUSTOMIZED FOR EVERY DEVICE Enjoy a reading layout tailored to your environment. Adjust fonts, font size, line spacing, paragraph spacing, character spacing, bold text, and margins. Fanficly remembers your settings per device, so your iPhone opens your compact layout while your MacBook uses your wide desktop preset. Read in continuous scroll, swipe by chapter, or horizontal page-by-page. Your place is saved down to the exact paragraph — and the Home Screen widget shows your last-read story with its progress, so you can jump straight back in on any device. LISTEN ON THE GO Tap the headphones icon to have any chapter read aloud. Fanficly uses your device's high-quality local text-to-speech engine, allowing you to listen in the background, from the lock screen, or using your own cloned Personal Voice. Zero data usage, 100% free. ACCESSIBLE BY DESIGN Built to be read with VoiceOver as comfortably as with your eyes: labeled controls everywhere, page turns and chapter jumps as VoiceOver actions, and a fully accessible narration player and widgets. YOUR LIBRARY, YOUR WAY Create custom folders, pin important stories, and star your favorites. Follow works to be notified when new chapters drop — tap the alert to jump straight in — no account needed. Sort by date saved, last read, last updated, title, author, or length. A progress bar on every started story shows exactly how far you've read. DISCOVER & CONNECT See what's trending in the Popular tab — the most-loved fandoms, ships, and characters. Follow your favorite authors and be notified when they post something new, no account required. What’s new

Version 1.10.1 · Updated October 11, 2026

What's new in 1.10.1 • Pages fill the screen. In 1.10.0, page-by-page pages could stop well short of the bottom of the screen, leaving a band of blank space under the text. Now every page runs to its last line, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. • Hide the controls and the page fills the whole screen. Show them, start or stop Listen, rotate, or change the text size, and the page keeps its first line while lines come and go at the bottom. • The page footer stays at the bottom of the screen. After switching back to Fanficly, it could float about a keyboard's height up the page. • On the Mac, a page's last line no longer hides under the page footer. Everything still runs on your device — no ads, no tracking, no account required.
