LensPin: Photo Geotagger

Shot on a DSLR or mirrorless camera with no GPS? LensPin adds the missing locations to those photos in Apple Photos, so they show up on the map again. LensPin suggests missing locations for camera photos and, optionally, videos in Apple Photos. It matches capture times with workout routes, GPX tracks, or geotagged iPhone photos from the same trip. Review the suggestions before saving. YOUR PHOTOS, ORGANIZED INTO JOURNEYS Browse journeys by time and place, explore them on a globe or map, and find photos with missing locations. Choose journeys, a date range, or specific photos to begin. Lines on journey maps show capture order, not a recorded route. USE THE LOCATION DATA YOU ALREADY HAVE • Import timestamped GPX tracks from a camera, watch, fitness app, or GPS logger. • Read workout routes with your permission, without exporting a file. For example, outdoor workouts started on Apple Watch may record routes you can view in Apple Fitness. • Use geotagged iPhone photos as reference points. • Combine iPhone photo references with either workout routes or GPX tracks to check suggestions. • Calibrate a camera clock offset for matching without changing the original capture time. REVIEW AND SAVE IN BATCHES • Scan a date range or choose specific items from Apple Photos. • Turn on Include Videos when you want to process videos too. • Review suggestions by confidence level or on a map with photo thumbnails and routes. • Adopt an available suggestion or set a location manually. • Save only after confirming. Adding suggested locations does not overwrite existing locations. VIDEOS, WITH EXTRA CONTEXT Video suggestions use the start of recording. LensPin flags observed movement and uncertain timing for review. Check recording times carefully, especially for slow-motion and time-lapse videos. KEEP RESULTS ORGANIZED Successfully updated items are added to the LensPin album. Review, adjust, or remove their locations there. Photos can also be exported as JPG files with GPS data; video GPS export is not supported. PROCESSING ON YOUR DEVICE Photos, videos, GPX files, and workout data are processed on your device and are not uploaded to LensPin or analytics providers. Workout Routes requests read-only access to workouts and routes through HealthKit; it does not write to Health. Saving a location updates the Apple Photos library metadata; it does not rewrite your original media files. Saved locations may sync through iCloud Photos according to your settings. Automatic time-zone lookup may send coordinates to Apple. Usage analytics are enabled by default when configured and can be disabled in Settings; they exclude your media, capture metadata, coordinates, GPX contents, and workout data.
