Alta: Alarm Clock

Win the morning with Alta. Alta is an alarm clock that won't let you snooze. When it rings, one tap is not enough. First you finish a short mission: a set of push-ups counted by your camera, a photo of the morning sky or a quick math quiz. By the time the alarm stops, you are already up. Alta requires a paid Alta Plus subscription, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan for eligible new subscribers. Details are at the bottom. Photo missions are checked in the cloud when needed, and Alta does not keep the photos. You can turn the cloud check off in Settings. App block Pick the apps that pull you back into bed. Alta keeps them locked for 15 to 60 minutes after the alarm, so you get up instead of scrolling. App block uses Apple's Screen Time, and your app choices never leave your iPhone.
