Chroméa: Piano Sight Reading

Read the notes, play the melody: every right note paints part of the picture. Chroméa is a piano sight-reading game, on screen, on an acoustic piano or with MIDI. TEN WORLDS TO DISCOVER A sunlit valley, a Japanese garden, a boat workshop, kites, a crystal geode and a porcelain moon… then a musical machine and an upside-down room. Ten gouache worlds, each with its own surprise. Each painting accompanies a chosen melody and unfolds in five stages, leading to an animated finale. FAMILIAR MELODIES, REDISCOVERED Grieg, Chopin, Offenbach, Dvořák, Bach and Debussy, alongside Sakura Sakura, The Skye Boat Song, Mo Li Hua and Arirang: melodic adaptations played one note at a time. In Play, explore the pieces and their paintings, choose your tempo and replay unlocked passages. SIGHT-READING THAT FITS YOUR PRACTICE Choose a note range, treble clef, bass clef or both. Set the rhythms, key, time signature and tempo, from 10 to 180 BPM. Use a metronome and an unlocked painting, or practise on a plain page. Play on the touch keyboard, a compatible MIDI keyboard or an acoustic piano using the microphone. Acoustic recognition follows one note at a time within its supported range; it does not assess chords, pedal or dynamics. A session summary separates pitch accuracy from timing. The first painting and C–G sight-reading are free. A one-time purchase opens the other paintings and expanded practice settings; progression is earned by playing. No subscription or advertising. Available in English, French, Spanish, Simplified Chinese and Hindi. Choose C/D/E or Do/Re/Mi note names independently of the interface language.
