SkyRewind brings current conditions, forecasts and historical comparisons for your area together on one compact main screen, with no vertical page scrolling. Swipe horizontally through hours, dates and years to explore the data. WEATHER WHERE YOU ARE When you open the app, it asks for permission to use your device's location. If you allow access, it selects your weather area and checks your position while you use the app and when you reopen it. There is no background location tracking. If you decline GPS access, you can select one town manually and still use weather, forecasts and history. Choosing another town replaces the previous one; there is no list of favorite places. A manually selected town stays fixed and does not follow your movements. No account is required. TODAY, TOMORROW AND YEARS PAST - Check the current temperature, feels-like temperature, conditions and weather-data timestamp. - Explore the next 24 hours for temperatures and rain probability, including after midnight. - See forecasts for today and the following six days. - Compare the selected day's forecast low and high with the same calendar date in previous years. - Move along the historical timeline to select a year. Each difference clearly identifies Today or Forecast and whether it is higher or lower. The current temperature remains separate from daily comparisons: low with low, high with high. The visual atmosphere follows the season, time of day and difference from the historical average. HISTORY WITH CONTEXT Historical coverage can extend back to 1940 where data is available for that area and date. A new area's archive may take time to prepare: the app indicates loading, partial coverage or temporary unavailability. A complete series is not necessarily available for every date or location. Data is provided by Open-Meteo. Current conditions and forecasts are based on weather models; the displayed timestamp refers to the data, not a live measurement from a station at your location. Historical ERA5 data is a model-based reanalysis of the area. Averages and differences are calculated by SkyRewind. Weather data is licensed under CC BY 4.0. The app uses Italian when the system language is Italian and English otherwise. You can change the language in Settings. Weather information is indicative and should not be your only source for emergencies, personal safety or critical operational decisions.
