Sundial Time Marks

A sundial does not tell you the time. It shows you where the sun is. Sundial does the same for your day, your week, your year, and your life. No countdown clock, no ticking seconds. Just a row of marks, and a clear sense of where you are. Three things you will not find in other progress widgets One. A year that follows the solar terms. From Lichun to Dahan, twenty four marks. Other apps cut the Gregorian year into twelve. Sundial knows whether today is Awakening of Insects or Frost's Descent. Two. Your lifetime and your day in the same language. Enter your birthday and a life expectancy, and your life becomes thirty thousand marks: behind you in ink, right now in a single vermilion stroke, still ahead in light grey. Today is twenty four marks, this week seven, this month thirty one, this year twelve, drawn exactly the same way. Where you are in the day and where you are in your life line up at a glance. Three. A real Mac app with a menu bar icon. Not a phone widget dropped on a desktop. The Mac version has its own menu bar icon in the place you glance at dozens of times a day, plus a desktop poster window. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. Time you can see Seven natural cycles: today, this week, this month, this quarter, this year, the lunar year and your lifetime. Plus countdown, count up and an overview, ten in all. Countdown runs from a start date to a target date and shows what is left. Count up starts from a date in the past and shows how far you have come. Overview puts today, this week, this month and this year side by side. Built for the Home Screen Home Screen widgets in small, medium, large and extra large. Lock Screen widgets in circular and rectangular, so a countdown sits right on your Lock Screen. Full iPad support in both orientations. Twenty six styles, fifty seven palettes Bars, capsules, stairs, dots, dot matrix, ink ring, tick ring, hexagons, timeline, neon, pine, bamboo, moon phase, leaf, seal, plain text and more. From a single hairline to motifs drawn from Chinese ink painting, all in the same paper and ink language. Palettes grouped into Universal, Chinese, Night, Material and Contrast, or build your own from any background and accent colour. Six typefaces: geometric, grotesque, industrial, modern, humanist and monospace. Your data stays yours Everything is stored on your device and in your own private iCloud database. The developer never sees it and collects nothing. iCloud sync can be turned on or off at any time. Switch phones or reinstall, and your widgets are still there. An optional reminder on the first morning of each month tells you which mark of the year you have reached. Turn it off in Settings whenever you like. Why a sundial The sundial is the oldest way we made time visible. No readout, no digits, just a rod, a shadow and a ring of marks. You glance at where the shadow falls, and you know where you stand in the day. That is the whole idea behind this app. Some marks are behind you, one is now, the rest are still ahead. The free version lets you create three widgets with the basic styles and palettes. Sundial Pro removes the limit and unlocks every style, every palette and iCloud sync. One purchase covers iPhone, iPad and Mac. Terms of Use https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
