About Amare Control

Amare Control is the primary interface for Amare Musica players – music servers designed and built in Poland. The app connects to the device on your home network and gives you full control over your music, with no middlemen and no cloud. NOW PLAYING Artwork, title, recording format (FLAC, DSD, 24 bit / 96 kHz…) and a plain answer whether the signal is bit‑perfect. Pause, seek, favourites, amplifier volume, sleep timer. Control from the lock screen, headphones and Siri too. LIBRARY Albums from the player's drive and from streaming services in one place. Filter by quality (CD, Hi‑Res, DSD), source and format. Search, recently played, favourites. QUEUE What plays next – drag to reorder, swipe to remove. Repeat, shuffle, "play next". SIGNAL PATH Source, engine and output in one view – with a direct answer whether the audio data was altered on the way. Proof, not a claim. ROOM ACOUSTICS The player plays a test signal, the phone records it. The result shows where your room booms and where the bass disappears, saved for before/after comparison. We measure – we do not correct digitally. STATISTICS How much you listen, who you play most, and what share of it was bit‑perfect. DEVICE PANEL Seven views of the player's screen, brightness, artwork as background – all from your phone. SERVICES TIDAL, Qobuz and HighResAudio – you sign in directly with the provider; the app never sees your password. AirPlay, Spotify Connect and Roon work with the player as a target device. PRIVACY The app collects no data. No analytics, no ads, no accounts. It talks only to your player over the local network. DEMO MODE No player yet? Enter demo mode from the welcome screen and explore the app with sample data. Requires an Amare Musica player on the same Wi‑Fi network. Works on iPhone and iPad, in English and Polish.

What’s new

Version 1.5 · Updated October 6, 2026

Amare Control 1.5 NEW • Plays on your albums — an artist page lists every album in your collection the person plays on, including as a session musician, composer or engineer. • Upcoming anniversaries and Long unplayed — release anniversaries of your albums and records you have not played in a while (can be switched off in Settings). • A–Z index on the right of the library and of the artist, composer, genre and label lists. • Library cleanup: the device finds albums with broken metadata and proposes fixes; bulk fix with a change list to approve; genres from MusicBrainz. • Recording credits for local albums; tag editing with MusicBrainz suggestions; cover art search by tags. • SACD ISO images unpack to DSF files with one tap, without any PCM conversion. • Exact format on the album tile (“24/48”, “DSD64”) and two extra cover sizes. • Runs on the Mac as well (Apple Silicon), with a desktop widget. IMPROVED • VU meter: dials in the Amare display’s native resolution, a scrollable picker with previews, a needle that behaves like a real meter; with DSD the meter switches off and returns on PCM. • Library, Spotify, AirPlay, UPnP and Roon hand the sound card over smoothly — no source disappears from the network after switching. • Spotify Connect at 320 kbps, without volume normalisation or digital attenuation. • The app remembers the selected source, library filters and signed-in services after a restart. • Library refresh from the Library screen, with visible indexing progress. FIXED • Widget: pause and next-track buttons. • An album with several composers no longer freezes the queue or the Amare display. • “How I listen” statistics show real listening time; covers without macOS leftovers; a device update no longer signs you out of HighResAudio and Qobuz.
