About Redirect Websites

Redirector gives you precise control over where Safari takes you. Create local redirect rules that match URLs using regular expressions and send them to a different destination. Redirect modern sites to preferred versions, replace domains, preserve paths with capture groups, or build redirects for your own workflows. Features: • Regular expression URL matching • Capture-group substitutions • Per-rule source and destination domains • Rule ordering and stop processing • Built-in URL testing and previews • Automatic redirect-loop protection • Enable, disable, edit, and delete rules at any time • Site access requested only for domains used by enabled rules Redirector has no accounts, analytics, or external servers. Rules stay on your device and are processed locally by Safari. Rules are stored separately on each device and do not currently sync through iCloud.

What’s new

Version 1.1.0 · Updated October 15, 2026

New: Rule templates Start from a ready-made rule instead of writing a regex. Choose "Add from template…" in the rule editor and pick one: • Reddit → old Reddit • YouTube Shorts → full video player • Mobile YouTube → desktop • Mobile Wikipedia → desktop • Mobile Facebook → desktop • Bing searches → Google or DuckDuckGo Templates are added switched off, so you can review them before turning them on. Fixes and improvements • Fixed the loop check wrongly blocking some valid rules, such as mobile-to-desktop redirects. • The redirect preview now matches what Safari actually does. That includes \0 for the whole match, a literal $ in the destination, and keeping the parts of the URL the rule doesn't match. • Rules now always match regardless of letter case, and the preview does too. • Fixed text getting larger after rotating to landscape. • The toolbar popup now shows the correct number of active rules. • Rules sync to Safari more reliably after edits.
