Depending on the brand, you type the code shown on the TV or press Allow on the TV. You do this once; after that it connects straight away. BEFORE YOU INSTALL • Your iPhone and TV must be on the same Wi-Fi network. • Fire TV and Vizio TVs cannot yet be controlled. • Some TVs ship with network control switched off. • The app is available in 22 languages. PRIVACY The app asks for permission to find devices on your local network. That is how it finds your TV, and the only thing it is used for. Commands go straight from your device to your TV; there is no account and no server. FREE, WITH ADS The app is free and supported by ads. Ads appear between screens, never in the middle of a key press. In Europe and the UK you are asked before any ad is requested. Remove ads with a monthly, 3-month or yearly subscription or a one-time purchase; every feature stays free. A subscription is charged to your Apple ID and renews until cancelled, which you can do at any time in your Apple ID settings. The one-off does not renew.
