TraceBuds

Turn handwriting practice into a space adventure your child will actually ask to play. TraceBuds guides kids through 100 levels of guided tracing — from simple lines and shapes to letters, numbers, and full words — set inside a colorful galaxy they explore one level at a time. Join cosmic companions like Chopper the helicopter, Jet, and Rocket as you collect checkpoint stars and travel from sector to sector. WHY KIDS LOVE IT • A space-themed adventure map with unlockable sectors, checkpoints, and shooting-star celebrations • A friendly mascot garage — earn stars to unlock a helicopter, jet, rocket, satellite, UFO, and comet • Every completed letter or word is celebrated with animation, sound, and spoken reinforcement • Bite-sized levels that fit naturally into a daily routine, no matter how short A CURRICULUM BUILT TO GROW WITH THEM TraceBuds automatically adjusts to your child's age, unlocking insights in a natural progression: • Ages 4-5: pre-writing lines and shapes • Ages 5-6: capital letters • Ages 6-7: lowercase letters and numbers • Ages 7 and up: full words and free practice As skills grow, so does the challenge — path width, tolerances, and pacing all adjust automatically behind the scenes. REAL-TIME TRACING GUIDANCE Every stroke is followed in real time by a responsive drawing engine with colorful glow effects and starlight animation. The tracing corridor gently expands when a child drifts off-path, keeping motivation high, while checkpoints and star ratings make practice feel encouraging rather than discouraging. DUAL-INPUT: FINGER OR APPLE PENCIL • Finger tracing: software filters prevent accidental palm rests from interrupting the drawing flow, so kids can trace comfortably right on the screen • Apple Pencil: live sensor feedback reads writing angle and pressure in real time for a richer, more responsive tracing experience GRIP & PRESSURE FEEDBACK TraceBuds helps kids notice their own writing pressure naturally. Press too hard or too light with Apple Pencil, and the mascot wobbles in space — a gentle, playful cue to relax the hand and find a steadier grip, no lecturing required. PROGRESS YOU CAN ACTUALLY SEE A dedicated Reports tab turns each session into an easy-to-read picture of practice over time: • Accuracy trends across sessions • Pressure and grip summaries (with Apple Pencil) • Full session history with stars and scores • Frame-by-frame replay of any tracing session Reports sit behind a simple parent gate, so little hands can't wander into settings. PRIVACY BY DESIGN All tracing data stays on your device. • No accounts or registration required • No data sent to the cloud • Zero third-party ads or analytics WHO IT'S FOR TraceBuds is designed for children ages 4-10 who are learning to write — from very first pencil strokes to building confidence with letters, numbers, and words.
