Anthea: Relationship Check-In

Your daily couples ritual, designed by couples therapists. Anthea is a relationship journal for the two of you. Two minutes a day: the same questions, answered apart. Over time, the emotional patterns that slip by in everyday life become visible. HOW IT WORKS • You and your partner answer the same five short questions each day, each on your own. • When you finish, a short reflection written for you opens. • When you've both answered, the reflection between you arrives: how you each lived the same day, and one question you can ask each other tonight. • On day seven, your weekly reading is written: the pattern that built up and one small step for the week ahead. WHY IT'S DIFFERENT • Your raw answers are never shown to each other. No one answers for the other's sake. • It doesn't grade your relationship as good or bad; it helps you step back and look at it. • The questions draw on Gottman couples therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and attachment theory. Before it became an app, this approach was tried with hundreds of couples in the therapy room. GETTING STARTED • A ten-question getting-to-know-you set draws your First Reading: how you experience your relationship. • No partner yet? Start on your own and invite them with a code when they're ready. EVERYWHERE • Answer from your Apple Watch, or by voice with Siri. • The Home Screen widget shows where your day stands. • Hold your iPad in landscape or open your iPhone Duo, and pages sit side by side like a book. • Works with VoiceOver, Voice Control and large text sizes.
