GeoTag video

About GeoTag video

New in 1.9 Drone speed on the video A new "Also show speed" toggle, available whenever the flight altitude overlay is on: GeoTag Video calculates the drone's ground speed from its GPS telemetry and writes it right below the altitude, in the same overlay. It stays an independent option, switchable off at any time without giving up the altitude overlay. More efficient export resolution Choosing 1080p or 720p now actually produces a lighter file: the bitrate is scaled down in proportion to the chosen resolution, instead of staying at the original video's (much higher) bitrate. Proportional flight-path mini-map The flight path mini-map size (small, medium or large) now correctly scales with the export resolution: it no longer covers the frame when exporting at a reduced resolution. For anyone who missed them, the features introduced in version 1.8 are still there: the flight path map, in an isometric style (always offline) or on a real map with streets and points of interest, with adjustable size and opacity — embeddable in the video or exportable as a standalone image, even for a merge of multiple clips. As always, every overlay option stays optional and can be switched off with one tap: by default, GeoTag Video never re-encodes the video.
