About Wand: Remote for HomeKit
Open Wand and the device you want is already on screen. No list to scroll, no dashboard to build. Wand is the remote layer for the smart home you already run. Connect Home Assistant or Apple Home, stand where you normally control something, and Wand remembers the spot. Raise your phone there again and that device opens first. FASTER THAN A DEVICE LIST • Opens on one device, not on a grid of forty entities. • Wrong guess? Tap once to switch. That tap is the training. • Nothing to configure. No YAML, no cards to arrange, no automations to write. A REAL REMOTE FOR EACH DEVICE • TV and media: D-pad, playback, volume, channels, inputs. • Air conditioning: temperature, mode, fan speed. • Lights: power, brightness, colour temperature, presets. • Curtains and covers: open, stop, close, exact position. • Fans, speakers, switches, and other Home Assistant entities. WORKS WITH WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE • Home Assistant, over your local network. • Apple Home accessories. • Recognition runs on the iPhone itself and combines Wi-Fi fingerprint, compass heading, and motion. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and every learned spot can be erased in one tap. FREE AND PRO Every remote is free, with no time limit. The free version remembers spots for two devices; Wand Pro removes that cap, as a lifetime purchase or an annual subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. What’s new
Version 2026.10.14 · Updated October 17, 2026
Clearer setup, smoother first use. • If your Home has no accessories yet, Wand now tells you how to add them instead of quietly dropping you into the sample devices, and reloads automatically when you come back. • Home Assistant: no more sample devices while your devices load or when none are found; you get a clear message and can read again. • Until you have taught a device its position, the top bar says so and takes you straight to learning. • After your first successful control, Wand suggests learning that device so next time pointing is enough. • HomeKit controls only count as successful once HomeKit confirms the write. • Settings now says it plainly: every remote is free; Pro only lifts the limit on learned devices.
