Battal | Ebru Art

Ebru is the centuries-old art of Turkish paper marbling, brought to life on your iPad. Float drops of color on a simulated water bath, then comb them with your finger or Apple Pencil into flowing, organic patterns. When your design is ready, lay down a sheet of paper and lift a one-of-a-kind print — just like the traditional aktarma finishing step. What makes Ebru different: the surface behaves like a real viscous liquid, yet the colors never mix. Every boundary stays crisp no matter how much you swirl, because the engine is built on closed-form fluid mathematics instead of a muddy simulation. The result is fast, fluid, and endlessly calming. CREATE • Tap to drop paint and watch it bloom outward from a single point • Drag to comb the surface with a physically accurate single-stylus stroke • Draw the classic combed (nonpareil) pattern with the multi-tooth rake • Add graceful spirals with the vortex (French curl) tool • Paint with traditional pigments and adjust your brush size freely • Grouped undo/redo, and a clean canvas whenever you want to start fresh APPLE PENCIL • Pressure changes the strength of every stroke • Tilt adjusts the width • High-frequency and predicted touch sampling for smooth, immediate response KEEP & SHARE • Save your works to a personal gallery on your device • Watch the signature paper-lift reveal present your finished print • Export high-resolution images — perfect for wallpapers, prints, and sharing CALM BY DESIGN Ebru is made to be slow, quiet, and meditative — a small daily ritual for anyone who loves traditional Turkish and Islamic art, mindful creativity, or simply watching colors move through water. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT No account, no sign-up, no tracking. Everything you make stays on your device, and the app works fully offline. Ebru is free to use. Ebru Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks the full set of 8 pigments and extra palettes, the rake and vortex tools, pattern packs, unlimited gallery saves, and watermark-free, print-quality export.
