About Ear Recorder
Ear Recorder is a simple voice recorder for capturing conversations, ideas, and moments you want to revisit. Bring your iPhone to your ear to start recording, then move it away to save. With less to think about on screen, you can focus on what you want to remember. Key Features Start recording by bringing your iPhone to your ear Use the proximity sensor to start recording when your iPhone is close to your ear. Move it away to save your recording. Find recordings when you need them Browse your recordings by date and duration. Search by title or transcription text to quickly find the moment you are looking for. Easy playback controls Open any recording to play, pause, and move through the timeline. Switch playback between the earpiece and speaker to suit your surroundings. Transcriptions on supported devices On supported devices, OS versions, and languages, you can transcribe saved recordings. Copy, edit, retranscribe, search, and share transcription text with ease. Share audio or transcription text Share the original audio file, or share a formatted transcription that includes the recording title, date, and duration. When no transcription is available, you can still share the audio. Time Chime Set a Time Chime to keep track of elapsed recording time. Choose a repeating interval or use Combo mode to set two custom reminder times. Safer deletion and restore Confirm before deleting a recording. Deleted recordings can be checked and restored from the Trash, helping you recover important recordings when needed. Designed for accessibility EarRecorder supports Larger Text, VoiceOver, and Reduce Motion. Privacy Recordings are stored on your iPhone. Transcription processing may vary depending on your device, OS version, and language. When recording conversations, please be considerate of others and make sure you follow all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual rules.

Thank you for using Ear Recorder. In Version 2.4, we have completely redesigned the user interface and introduced key usability improvements for a smoother, more reliable recording experience. WHAT IS NEW IN VERSION 2.4 1. Unified Single-Screen Interface - The separate "Record" and "History" tabs have been merged into an intuitive single-screen layout. Your recordings are now immediately visible and accessible as soon as you launch the app. - Added four quick-action buttons at the top of the screen: Settings, Trash, Search, and Select. - Tapping the search icon smoothly expands an inline search bar, allowing you to instantly find recordings by transcribed text or date. 2. Accidental Recording Safeguard during Ear-Speaker Playback - Resolved an issue where listening to playback privately through the ear speaker could unintentionally trigger a new recording. - The proximity sensor is now completely disabled during audio playback (both in the main list and in the detail view) as well as while viewing recording details. You can now listen to your recordings discreetly with complete peace of mind. 3. Streamlined Deletion Workflow - Removed the countdown undo snackbar at the bottom of the screen to maintain a clean, distraction-free list view. - Deleted recordings are safely moved to the Trash, where you can inspect and restore them anytime via the top-bar Trash button. 4. Centralized Time Chime Settings - Time Chime controls (Repeat and Combo intervals) are now cleanly organized within a dedicated Settings sheet, accessible directly from the top bar. - Ear-speaker playback preferences and user guides can also be found in one convenient place. 5. Polished UI/UX and Performance - Integrated refined haptic feedback across buttons and selection toggles for a tactile, responsive feel. - Enhanced animations, typography, and card contrast in accordance with modern iOS design principles.
