DUD3 is a bring-your-own-key research, reasoning and code assistant for iPhone and iPad — and now it comes to your Mac. Free on your iPhone and iPad. Chat, research missions, the downloadable on-device model, pets as screen guides, jev decision controls, receipts and every feature on the phone work without a purchase. Connect your own OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta Model API, OpenRouter, OpenAI-compatible or local provider; your keys are stored on the device in the Keychain and go only to the endpoint you chose, or download the bundled on-device model in Settings to chat and run pets with no API key at all. Plain by default, customizable in Settings. Every screen starts clean and fast with live color and typography token pickers in Settings, while visual extras such as aurora, liquid glass, sounds and Live Activities live in an optional Experimental section. Pets as guides. Your companion pet understands whichever screen you are on — Chat, Missions, Settings, Logic Lab or Backpack — and can guide you through next steps or run its lens using your cloud provider or the on-device model. Research that shows its work. Missions run a structured multi-phase process you can tune and pause, and every finished answer carries its receipts, citations and optional jev decision controls when OpenRouter is configured. Without a configured provider the app says so plainly; it never makes up an answer. DUD3 for Mac. A free, notarized installer from dud3.ai puts DUD3's program and DUD3 Controls on your Mac, starts the background worker and connects it to the AI apps it finds: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Antigravity and Codex. Once the Mac is linked, those apps can call DUD3's tools on your own Mac — Reality Lens, truth tables, logic verification, receipts, adversarial and premortem checks, repository reads, reviewed diffs and bounded repository test plans under your authorized folders, plus research missions. One unlock links your Mac. A one-time in-app unlock turns on DUD3 for Mac, with optional per-action tool confirmation across Mac, iPhone and iPad and seamless iCloud link sync across your Apple devices. Ask your AI app or DUD3 Controls on the Mac to show the DUD3 link QR and scan it with your phone or iPad; your provider keys travel sealed per mission to that Mac. Missions you send arrive as one signed file and the result comes back to whatever screen you are on. If you bought DUD3 before, your earlier purchase already counts. No account, no subscription, and no ads. Normal chat requests go directly to your selected provider. If you choose to report AI output, the submitted report is retained for safety review as described in our privacy policy. INTENDED USE DUD3 is for research, reasoning, and code. It is not intended for generating sexual, violent, hateful, or otherwise objectionable content, and such use is prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy. Every assistant reply and research dossier includes a one-tap Report AI Output control. When connected to a frontier provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, or Meta Model API), that provider's content policies apply; with a local or custom model, you are responsible for the content you generate.
