Luminelle: Ingredient Scanner

Luminelle is a food scanner and skincare scanner in one app. Scan a barcode for a score from 0 to 100, with the regulator or study behind every flag in it. Each result opens with what's good and what's bad in the product. It also keeps your meals, your skin and your cycle in one place. You can scan your first product before you create an account. Scan your food The food ingredient scanner scores each product on nutrition, additives and how processed it is, from unprocessed to ultra-processed (UPF). • Food additive checker: tap an additive to see the source behind its rating • Higher-scoring products of the same kind, listed for your country • Pick added sugar, seed oils, flavourings or palm oil to have them pointed out Food allergy and diet checks • Allergen scanner: pick from 14 allergens, such as gluten, milk, eggs and peanuts, and each food barcode you scan is checked against your list • Allergen notes repeat what the label says: contains, may contain, not listed or no data. Always check the pack • Your way of eating: vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, keto or paleo, plus halal and kosher checks Scan your skincare Scan a barcode, photograph the ingredient list or search by name. The ingredient checker scores skin care and makeup against what regulators in Europe and the US publish. It flags banned and restricted ingredients, "forever chemicals" (PFAS), fragrance allergens and possible hormone disruptors. • What a product is for: sun protection, breakouts or dry skin • Your skin sensitivities, such as fragrance or parabens, flagged on every scan • Compare two products side by side • Higher-scoring alternatives to the product you scanned • An alert when a regulator's update changes the score of a product in your routine or likes Pregnant or breastfeeding? Turn on Pregnancy & nursing in Settings. Skincare scans then also check for ingredients that pregnancy guidance singles out, such as retinoids and salicylic acid, each with its source. Breastfeeding has a shorter list. Food scans get pregnancy notes too. Count calories with a photo Photograph your plate for estimated calories and macros, then correct the weights or the portion you ate. Foods you scan can be logged too. Track your skin with a selfie Take a skin selfie and Luminelle describes five areas of your face, from forehead to chin, in plain words. It notes pores, tone, breakouts, redness and fine lines. Each selfie gets a skin score from 0 to 100, and a timeline shows how your skin changes. Selfies are analysed by an AI service only if you've agreed to it, and you can change your mind in Settings. The photo is saved on your phone, and our servers keep the notes and scores. Know your cycle phase Enter the first day of your last period and Luminelle works out your phase and estimates your next period. See what the phase tends to mean for hormones, food, movement and training, with sourced notes on skin. Luminelle Pro (paid subscription) Everyone gets unlimited barcode scans and five photo scans a day (plates, food labels, ingredient lists).
