About Tile Calculator: Estimator

How many tiles do I actually need? Type your room size, your tile size, and your grout width, and get the answer in seconds: base tiles, extra tiles for cuts and breakage, the number of boxes to buy, and what it will cost you at the till. Most tile math online stops at square meters and leaves you to guess the rest in the shop aisle. This one goes all the way to the shopping list. Grout width is built into the tile area, so the count matches how tiles really sit on a floor. Waste percentage is yours to set, tiles-per-box is yours to set, and every number rounds up the way a supplier sells it. Nothing is hidden behind a "trust me" black box either: every result screen shows the exact formula, step by step, with your own numbers filled in. WHAT YOU GET - An exact tile count for a room, including the grout gap in the tile area - The number of boxes to buy, based on your own tiles-per-box figure - A total cost estimate from your price per box, so you know the damage before you go - A waste buffer you control, shown separately so you can see what the cuts really cost - A to-scale grid preview of your room in straight, offset or checkerboard, so the layout is not a surprise - Every room saved as a project you can reopen, edit and recalculate without measuring again PERFECT FOR - DIYers retiling a bathroom, kitchen floor or shower before their first trip to the shop - Tilers and handymen who need a fast, defensible number for a client quote - Renovators juggling several rooms and wanting each one on file separately - Anyone who has already come up two boxes short halfway through a job WHY NOT JUST USE A FREE ONLINE CALCULATOR Because a web calculator gives you one number and forgets it. It ignores the grout gap, it does not know how many tiles are in your box, it does not convert to boxes, it does not price the job, and the moment you close the tab your work is gone. Here, every room stays saved, in metric or imperial, on your phone, in the shop, with no signal needed. PRIVACY Everything is calculated and stored on your device. No account, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is uploaded anywhere. FULL ACCESS Full access unlocks unlimited saved tile projects, custom waste and overage margins, box count and cost estimates, the to-scale layout preview, the reference guides and the tiling tips. Choose the weekly plan, the yearly plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can manage or cancel them any time in your Apple ID settings. Measure your room once, open the app, and walk into the shop with a number you can defend.
