Darktone

About Darktone

- Improved playback reliability: small initial buffer for fast start, automatic stall detection, buffer recovery and retry logic for stable cellular streaming - Audio interruption handling: music pauses cleanly during calls/Siri and automatically resumes afterward - Centralized ArtistResolver service: unified artist name resolution across Now Playing, Album Detail and Track Context Menu with caching - More accurate song duration: AVPlayer duration is now always preferred over metadata - Improved artist links in album and context menu views with correct navigation - Visible back button in album, artist, playlist list and playlist detail views (subtle glass circle) - Removed PreferPreciseDurationAndTimingKey from all stream URLs for faster playback start - Fixed infinite retry loop: retry counter is no longer reset during retries - Stall detection and buffer recovery now work correctly after crossfade transitions - automaticallyWaitsToMinimizeStalling switches to true after 3 seconds for reliable mid-stream recovery - Lyrics pre-buffering: lyrics are now fetched in parallel during audio prebuffering and cached — instantly available on song transitions and crossfade - Fixed EQ race condition: equalizer now reliably activates on playback start, not only when opening the EQ settings page (KVO observer missed readyToPlay when item was already ready)
