About Chrono Lab - Luxury Watch Quiz

Think you know watches? Prove it. Chrono Lab turns watch knowledge into a real challenge: identify a reference from a close-up, learn what makes it unique, and build a collection one question at a time. 548 questions and 194 watches free — 801 questions and 272 watches with every premium pack. DAILY WATCH Every morning, a new quiz drawn from the whole catalogue — no two days alike. Finish it to unlock the Watch of the Day: a short story about one legendary timepiece, revealed only once. 160 stories, one per day. Keep your streak alive. DISCOVERY MODE 54 themed packs built as real horology courses — Rolex Essentials, Dive Watches 101, Chronograph Masters, The Holy Trinity, Grand Seiko Deep Dive, Haute Horlogerie, and 48 more. Each runs from the basics to genuine expertise. CHALLENGE MODE Three levels — 20, 15 or 10 seconds per question. Ten timed questions, one personal best to beat. Every session pulls a different set, and this mode never costs a life. IDENTIFY THE WATCH A close-up photo. Four choices drawn from the same maker whenever the catalogue allows: the silhouette alone won't save you. Progressive hints if you're stuck. This is where real expertise is tested. COLLECTION BOOK Every watch you meet joins your collection — a visual catalogue you unlock progressively, with exact references, calibers, materials and the facts worth knowing. From Rolex, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet to Grand Seiko, Nomos and F.P. Journe: 80+ houses, all with real reference numbers. PROGRESSION Earn XP on every correct answer. Rise from Novice to Grand Complication. Unlock 29 badges by mastering brands, holding streaks and proving your speed. What’s new

Version 3.0.1 · Updated September 24, 2026

This update fixes about twenty behaviours. The ones you'll notice first: STABILITY • The app no longer shuts down when you leave it or lock your iPhone: you come back to where you left off. • A finished game can no longer be lost when it is saved. After a long run of correct answers on the same question, the end of the quiz failed silently: no attempt, no XP and no streak were recorded — and it happened again in every game containing that question. GAME RULES • A watch is mastered on the 3rd correct answer, not on the following round. On first launch some watches will therefore turn "mastered" without you replaying them: they had earned it. Nothing is ever taken away — not mastery, not badges, not XP. • Pack badges arrive with the quiz that earns them, no longer with the next one. • When the timer runs out, the correct answer is shown. It was the only quirk that cost you a lesson. • The time bonus is no longer lost exactly at the threshold. • The "perfect chapters" gauge finally counts perfect chapters. EASE OF USE • With no lives left, "Play Challenge Mode" and "Play Identify Mode" now actually open those modes — the two that cost no lives. • "Reset All Progress" now also clears the knowledge map and the review schedule. • The level 1 XP bar shows your real progress. • Suggestions no longer reshuffle as you look at them: stable on screen, renewed daily. • Leaving the intro quiz no longer completes onboarding. • After a refusal, re-allowing notifications in iOS Settings is now enough to bring the reminders back. If you had already re-allowed them, switch "Daily Reminders" back on once in your Profile. • And the reverse holds too: if you had switched "Daily Reminders" off, finishing a quiz no longer switches them back on. Your choice is respected. • The Collection search bar is finally aligned, and follows the text size. CONTENT AND ACCESSIBILITY • Watch spec sheets are translated into French — 188 terms across 272 sheets. • VoiceOver now says "40 mm" and "50%" instead of reading raw values. • Text finally follows the system text-size setting. • No made-up prices: only a price given by the store is shown. Your progress and your purchases are kept.
