About MARKS Social
Marks is a social network built on one radical idea: content only survives if the community values it. Every post enters a 24-hour evaluation period. If the community engages with it, giving it "Marks", it survives. If not, it disappears permanently. No algorithm decides what you see. The community does. THE FEED STAYS WORTH READING Low-effort posts, spam, and ignored content are automatically removed. What remains is a feed where every post has proven its value to real people. HOW IT WORKS - Post up to 500 characters with photos or video - Other users give Marks to content they value - Posts that don't receive enough engagement are permanently deleted after 24 hours - The more influence you accumulate, the higher the bar. Nobody coasts. FEATURES - Dynamic threshold tiers that scale your survival standard with your reach - Community moderation via Pitchfork voting for rapid removal of low-quality content - Kredits, a recognition program that rewards quality contributors - Direct messages and group chat - Follow users and build your feed - Full-text search across posts, users, and groups - Watch Parties to watch YouTube videos together with synchronized playback and live chat - VIDA Studio for creating collaborative beats with a visual loop builder, jam rooms, and relay chains - Spotify and Letterboxd integrations on your profile - Constructivist design aesthetic that is bold, intentional, and free of visual noise BUILT DIFFERENT Most social networks optimize for time spent. Marks optimizes for quality. The disappearance mechanic isn't a gimmick. It's the core philosophy. If your content doesn't resonate, it doesn't deserve shelf space. Marks is free to use. No ads. No algorithmic manipulation.
