Placeful - Find Community

What if a social network was run by a non-profit, and that non-profit cared about your wellbeing and connection with real people, organizations, movements, and places? What if that same social network had no ads, promised never to track you, never sold your data, and prohibited AI slop and misinformation? Maybe that doesn't have to be a "what if..." anymore. We’re back to basics with social media. No ads, no tracking, no aggressive algorithms, no infinite scrolling, no misinformation, no AI slop… just you and your followers. Introducing a social media platform with a local-first approach. We want you to rediscover everything that your communities have to offer. CHRONOLOGICAL FEED All of the content you see is prioritized chronologically, meaning the posts you see are the ones most recently posted. Share photos and written posts with who you want. Your profile shows people who you are, where you’ve been and where you’re going (figuratively!). Show off what communities you’re a part of, the places you love, and what you do. * Create and edit photos with a huge variety of filters * Publish written posts highlighting you and what you do * Like and comment on the content you see * Edit your profile to give your followers a great first impression * Direct messaging between you and your followers Download Placeful and create on a platform that loves you back, instead of selling you out.
