About Lucida Studio Mobile
Originally, pre-digital Camera Lucida was a 19th-century optical drawing aid that uses a prism or mirror to superimpose a "ghosted" image of a subject onto a drawing surface. It enables artists to accurately trace scenes, portraits, and still lifes, improving perspective and proportion. This iOS based Camera Lucida uses Augmented Reality to overlay images on surfaces for intuitive artistic endeavors. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
What’s new
Version 1.6 · Updated May 4, 2026
In this update, we focused heavily on performance and making the AR setup process as seamless as possible: • Lightning-Fast Menus: We completely rebuilt the "Image Filters" and "Try Sample" menus for iOS 18. They now slide up instantly as native sheets, completely eliminating UI lag. • Smarter AR Setup: Say goodbye to confusing tutorials! We've improved the Getting Started flow with a clear, interactive "Tap to place" hint that vanishes the exact moment your image is locked onto a surface. • Smoother Photo Loading: Complex sample images now load seamlessly without locking up or freezing your screen. • visionOS Polish: Added helpful spatial tooltips for Vision Pro users when importing new photos into the canvas.
