About Departd: Calendar Alarm Clock
Get out the door on time, to everything on your calendar. Departd works out when you need to wake up, then keeps you on time all day. It reads your calendar, times the drive with live traffic, and checks the weather to tell you when to wake, when to get ready, and when to leave for your first event. With Pro, it re-checks the drive overnight, as often as iOS allows, and can move your alarm earlier if traffic gets worse, and you get a leave-by alert for every event you travel to after the first. No math. No guessing. YOUR WHOLE DAY, ON TIME • Wakes you when you need it — a reliable alarm built on iOS 26's AlarmKit that rings through silent mode. Open Departd once in the evening so it can set tomorrow's alarm. If your wake-up time falls in or after the hour you say you're usually awake by, no alarm is set. • Leave on time — a leave-by for your first event, free. With Pro, one for every event you travel to after it. • Traffic-adjusted — the drive is timed with live traffic. With Pro, it's re-checked overnight, as often as iOS allows. • Weather-aware — rain, snow, and severe conditions add buffer automatically. Free for everyone. • Flight-smart — TSA and terminal buffers for travel days. • A full-day timeline — every event in order, with any gap of 30 minutes to 2 hours between them shown as a free window. • Explains itself — see exactly why your wake and leave times were chosen, in the app or by asking Siri "Why this time with Departd?" • Live Activity + Dynamic Island — your next departure, one glance away. WHY DEPARTD Most alarms ring at the same time every day, and most planners have no idea how long it takes to get anywhere. Departd does both: it wakes you AND gets you out the door on time — for the meeting across town, the school run, the airport. You never have to set the alarm time. Your calendar is your plan. FOR ANYONE WHO • Wonders "is 15 minutes enough for traffic?" • Is always running a few minutes late to everything. • Travels for work and wants airport runs with security and terminal time built in. • Has ever been late to something that mattered. PRIVACY FIRST Your calendar is read on your iPhone and is never uploaded to us — there's no account and no Departd server. The alarm, calendar and maps run on Apple's own frameworks: AlarmKit, EventKit and MapKit. To time a trip, the event's address goes to Apple Maps. Weather comes from Apple Weather; if Apple Weather can't be reached, Departd can ask OpenWeatherMap instead. SUBSCRIPTION Departd Pro adds: • Overnight Traffic Watcher — re-checks traffic and weather through the night, as often as iOS allows. • Departures All Day — a leave-by alert for every event you travel to, not just the first. • Conflict Advisor — tells you what to move when two events can't both be reached. • Checklist Prep Time — let your getting-ready checklist set your prep time, and have your alarm use a prep time you set for an event at home. • AI Prep Tips — on-device suggestions for tomorrow's first event, on iPhones with Apple Intelligence. The all-day Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island is included for everyone, free. Monthly or annual. Cancel anytime in Settings. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Manage in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Terms of Use (EULA): https://chrisradtke0.github.io/smartalarm-legal/terms-of-use.html Privacy Policy: https://chrisradtke0.github.io/smartalarm-legal/privacy-policy.html Requires iOS 26 or later. Calendar access is required. Alarm access, notifications and location are optional: without alarm access, Departd wakes you with a notification instead (if notifications are allowed), which can't ring through silent mode.
What’s new
Version 1.5.23 · Updated October 30, 2026
• If you stop your wake-up alarm and open Departd, a later event that morning can get a reminder instead of a second alarm. Flights keep their alarm. • New "I'm up" button on Home and on the overnight Lock Screen card. Tap it to see when to leave or join; "Not up yet? Undo" takes you back. It doesn't change your alarm. • Drives start from your location when it's available, otherwise from Home. Saving a new Home in Saved Places updates your plan, and Settings › Extras › Flight Preferences › Travel Origin shows where drives start from. The Reset to Home button is removed: drives now follow this one rule. • "Conflict Handling" is now "Declined events", with the options Show faded, Hide and Plan for them. A declined long event now ranks last when Departd chooses which event to plan around. • Departd can now switch to tomorrow's schedule as soon as today's last event has ended, instead of waiting for your End of Day time. End of Day is now capped at 7 PM: the picker offers 5 to 7 PM, and a later time you chose before counts as 7 PM. Departd still keeps today's schedule while an event is still ahead or one is marked "I'm Here" or "I'm On My Way". The calendar list now says: No calendars selected — Departd uses all your calendars. • The alarm's Snooze button is now graphite with a white label. Opening Departd late in the evening refreshes the overnight Lock Screen card. After a snooze, Home shows when the alarm first rang. • Event details, the meter and the widget no longer say "on track" once your planned leave time has passed, and flights no longer show an on-time percentage. "Running behind" is no longer shown at 0 minutes. When Departd has no confirmed leave time, Siri says so instead of giving a time. • Fixed: a second Snooze could be lost if you opened Departd during the first snooze; opening Departd during a snooze could set another alarm over it; a wake time you picked that Departd could not accept could still show as set; a weather check could move the alarm earlier for an event that needs no travel; the morning plan could be built from the wrong event; after you moved, Departd could keep using an airport drive time measured from your old location; the overnight change card could show a change that didn't match your alarm, and tentative events could be tagged "Overlaps" when they didn't overlap. Smaller timing fixes.
