About Goldfish Focus
Study smarter. Show your work. Goldfish turns study sessions into timelapses. Short, satisfying videos that capture the hours you put in. Record yourself working, build a streak, and share your sessions with a community of students who are putting in the same effort. Think of it like Strava, but for your GPA. Track what actually matters: Watch your study hours, streaks, and habits build over time with clean analytics that tell you exactly where your time goes. Make progress visible: A timelapse of an hours-long study session becomes a 30-second video. Post it. Let people see the work, not just the results. Study with people who get it: Follow friends and classmates who are grinding through the same stuff you are. Goldfish is built for students who want accountability without the noise. Your data, your story: Build a profile that reflects your academic journey: your major, your goals, your habits.

What’s new
Version 1.31.0 · Updated August 29, 2026
Technique Insights - You can now use study techniques like Pomodoro and Flowtime with Goldfish. Leave the app, take your breaks, and work how you want to. Plus, your stats page will now give you in-depth insights on how you actually study: what technique you use most, how long your sessions run, and which one keeps you locked in the longest. Weekly Recap - Every Sunday evening, get your week in review: total hours, your rank among friends, and your longest session. Save your recap to camera roll or use our native Instagram-story sharing template if you want to flex. Group Goals - Groups can now set a weekly hours target. Watch the bar fill as everyone adds time, and see who's carrying your team. All of these new features plus reliability improvements to video dropping protocol and expanded the number and reliability of study techniques from internal beta testing. Your techniques, clips, and breaks are now saved through anything, even force-quitting mid-session. Don't stay away from Goldfish on your Pomodoro breaks for too long, if you miss your one minute grace period the video will automatically package and prep for posting. Studying smarter, together. Go gold.
