I've been working towards this update for a long time, and Cob Paint finally feels like a real pixel art sketchbook. • Made for iPhone Duo. Closed, it's a pocket sketchbook. Open, the page fills the screen. Half open, your palette sits on one side of the fold and your painting on the other. • Watercolour, rebuilt. All-new water and pigment make watercolour look real. Tilt your phone to move the water around as it dries, and blow into the mic to dry it faster. • Eyedropper. Hold your finger still on the page and an eyedropper comes out. Lift to pick up any colour you see, even a wash over the paper. • Perfect shapes. Draw a line, arc, circle, oval or rectangle and keep holding at the end. It snaps into a clean shape you can stretch, or move with two fingers. • A mixing tray. Mix any colour you need. On iPhone Duo, half open it like a book. On any other phone, tap the water swatch twice. • More room on iPhone and iPad. The page fills the screen with the tools floating over it, and you can paint sideways. Swipe the palette down to tuck it away. • A new gallery. See many more of your paintings at once, as tall, wide or square cards. Pick light or dark in settings. • Every paint, more real. Gouache, chalk and pencil all feel more like the real thing, and clear water softens edges and lifts dried paint. • A sketchbook cover, with more to come.
