About TumuBook

The books they grew up with. TumuBook is a reading log for parents and kids. Keep every book your child reads, with the date and how old they were. "The picture book they asked for again and again as a baby." "The book they practised reading with in first grade." Books carry a picture of who your child was at the time. Note what they read, when, and how old they were, and the record becomes a memory in itself. One book finished, and what next? With no time to look, or no quick trip to the library or bookshop, that eagerness to keep reading can quietly fade. TumuBook lays out what might come next from the books they've read: "if they loved this one, here are a few more." A natural moment to ask, "Want to try this one?" SECONDS TO LOG. YOURS TO KEEP. - Scan the barcode to add a book - The date and your child's age are saved automatically - Add a note if you like - Browse each shelf by age or by month A SHELF FOR EACH CHILD - A separate shelf for every child - Whatever the age gap, all in one app MORE TIME WITH BOOKS - Picks like "Because you read…" and "More by the same author" appear on the Home, grown from the books they've read - Save the ones to read next, and check the list on your next trip to the library or bookshop SERIES AND NEW RELEASES - See every volume of a series, with a tick on the ones they've read - The next volume shows up on the Home - We keep an eye on new releases in the series they read WORKS ON IPHONE AND IPAD Made for parents who want to: - keep the books their child reads as memories - log every sibling's reading in one place - spend less time hunting for the next book - keep track of library books as well as their own

What’s new

Version 1.2.0 · Updated October 3, 2026

The app now opens on Home, a new tab that lines up your child's next books in rows taken from their own reading. The recommendations and release news that used to be in Discover live here now. What's New & Improved - Home: rows of covers built from what your child has read, such as the next volume in a series they're partway through, or a book that has just come out. Record a reading and the Home updates to match - Tap a cover and swipe through the rest of its row. Each book shows whether your child has already read it, with the date of their latest reading, or whether it's waiting in To Read - Series pages: open a series to see every volume in order, with the ones your child has read checked off. You can save the whole series to To Read - To Read is now a wall of covers, like Memories, with a small mark on saved series and release news so they stand apart from books. Memories always shows covers now, and a book with a memo carries a memo badge - A book scanned from a barcode we couldn't identify now appears as a plain label with its ISBN, rather than a jacket with a placeholder title - Various improvements and bug fixes
