DSM-Pure

About DSM-Pure

Version 1.3.0 adds a comprehensive set of practice and audio tools to DSM Pure, together with major improvements to responsiveness, visual feedback and everyday operation. New: Practise Manager • Plan and manage practice activities directly in DSM Pure. • Work with rudiment, metronome and song exercises in a consistent player interface. • Rudiment exercises include notation graphics, loop sequences and separate volume controls for the click and rudiment track. • Metronome exercises support start and target tempos, repetitions, steps and automatic tempo increases. • Practise with songs using A/B markers, a visual timeline and scrubbing between selected sections. • Adjust playback speed and pitch independently. • Completed sessions and practice time are stored and presented in useful statistics. • Practise Manager is available as an optional in-app purchase. Modern audio playback • The Practise Manager song player now uses an AVAudioEngine-based playback path for smooth starting, stopping and scrubbing, plus reliable A/B loops. • Compact circular controls provide quick access to audio level, click level, speed and pitch. • Individual mute buttons let you silence or restore tracks immediately. • New finely segmented VU meters display levels clearly across green, yellow and red ranges. • Visible metronome LEDs and detailed loop, step and repetition information provide immediate feedback while practising. Audio in the preset editor • Linked audio files are now clearly shown in the editor and are easier to select or remove. • Tracks selected from the music library are requested for download when necessary. Clear feedback explains when an item is protected, unavailable or not downloaded. • BPM analysis shows progress, can be cancelled and lets you apply the result directly from the progress view. • A new VU meter shows the playback level inside the editor. Consistent meters and Stage improvements • VU meters in the player, editor and Stage screen now share the same clean, slim design. • Main, beep and microphone meters respond to volume and mute states and return to silence correctly when playback stops. • Metering and UI updates have been optimised to keep DSM responsive while moving repeatedly between presets. Additional improvements • Long-press a song title to open its preset in the editor. • Audio and click levels now follow their controls more reliably. • Numerous fixes improve repeated start/stop operation, markers, looping, scrubbing and track enablement. • Improved localisations plus expanded automated and manual release testing.
