About Get MealCoach: Eat Slower

Notice when you eat too fast—while you’re still eating. You sit down to enjoy a meal. A few minutes later, your plate is empty. You meant to slow down, but your usual pace took over. MealCoach helps you bring attention back to your meal with MealCam: real-time eating pace feedback powered by on-device AI. Your front camera estimates bites and the time between them, so you don’t have to count every chew or tap after every bite. NOTICE YOUR PACE See your pace as you eat. When estimated bites come quickly in succession, MealCam offers a gentle reminder to slow down. Look for simple cues such as “Slow down a little” and “Nice pace.” UNDERSTAND YOUR MEAL Finish with a clear summary of your meal duration, estimated bites and average time between bites. See what happened during one ordinary meal. EXPLORE YOUR PATTERNS Review recent meals, see your MealCam sessions over the last seven days, and compare your average time between bites with the previous period when enough history is available. VIDEO IS NEVER SAVED Bite detection runs on your device. MealCam processes camera frames without saving or uploading your video. START WITH YOUR NEXT MEAL Set your iPhone or iPad where your face is comfortably visible, allow camera access, and tap Start meal. Eat as you normally would. Tap End meal to see your summary. MealCam is a tool for eating awareness, not a test of how slowly you can eat. Bites and pace are estimates; lighting, camera position and how you eat can affect detection. Pace feedback is a coaching guide, not a medical standard. MealCoach does not diagnose or treat eating disorders or guarantee weight loss.
