Flaguiz: Flags & History

Explore flags, countries and capitals on a globe, and discover the world as it was in 1990. Flaguiz brings geography and history together through map quizzes. Learn today's flags and capital cities, then travel back to 1 January 1990 to recognise the flags and borders of countries such as the Soviet Union, East Germany, Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia. FOUR WAYS TO PLAY • Map to Flags: explore a location and choose its flag. • Flags to Countries: identify the country from its flag and map. • Capital Cities: match countries with their capitals. • Historical 1990: match historical flags to the borders of that time. EXPLORE THE GLOBE Drag, zoom and rotate the map to discover countries and territories. Search for a country, see its flag and read the story behind its design. LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE Practise by continent or try the full set. Review your results, revisit missed answers and track your progress across game modes. PAST AND PRESENT Historical 1990 uses a dated snapshot of flags and political borders from 1 January 1990. It includes former countries alongside countries that still exist today, giving familiar places a different historical context. Designed for iPhone and iPad, Flaguiz makes geography a game you can keep coming back to.
