About Siksika Nation
Siksika Nation, part of the Blackfoot Confederacy, lies along the Bow River east of Calgary, Alberta. Its app collects what the Nation's departments share, and the app is free to everyone, Siksika or not. Culture and creativity come through in the feed. A news story follows a Siksika artist whose design now rides a Calgary transit bus, and Siksika Health Services has invited Indigenous artists to propose a new logo for the organization. The Nation also offers evening classes for beginners learning the Blackfoot language. Openings for roles such as tribal manager, intake specialist and an administrative specialist with Animal Services list their deadlines and how to apply. Day-to-day notices keep households informed, like Public Works' updated garbage pickup schedule, hydrant flushing and facility closures, and the Aitsiniki magazine shares community stories each month. Tap a tab to see one kind of post, search for anything older, star posts you like with the heart and copy events into your own calendar. Notifications bring new posts straight to your phone.
