About Minimal PDF Merge/Split

Minimal PDF Merge/Split joins several PDFs into one, or takes one PDF apart. It does these two things and nothing else. 📄

Merge
1. Tap the large plus button and choose your PDFs (up to 30 at a time).
2. Drag the handle on a file to change the order. Remove a file with the cross.
3. Tap Merge and choose where to save the new PDF.
Unreadable files are marked and skipped. Password-protected files ask for the password.

Split
1. Choose one PDF to see all of its pages.
2. Select tool: tap pages to pick them (long-press to select a range), then extract them into one new PDF.
3. Cut tool: tap a page to cut after it, or use "Every N" to place evenly spaced cuts. Then split into separate files in a folder you choose.

Your original files are never changed. The app only reads them, and writes the result where you tell it to. If a job is cancelled or fails, nothing is left behind. Every result is opened again and its page count is checked before it is reported as saved.

Private by design 🔒
- The app asks for no permissions at all. Files are chosen and saved through Android's own file picker, which only gives access to the files you pick.
- It does not request internet access. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking.
- Files are processed in memory on your phone. For very large jobs, temporary working data is kept in the app's private storage and removed afterwards.
- A password you type is kept in memory only, for as long as it is needed.

Good to know
- Page content, images and rotation are kept. Document details such as author and title are not copied to the result.
- Splitting or extracting drops bookmarks and links that point to other pages. Links to web addresses are kept.
- Digital signatures stop being valid once a PDF is merged, split or extracted.
- If you open a password-protected PDF, the result is saved without a password.
- Android does not let an app write into the Downloads folder itself or the top of your storage. When splitting into files, choose or create a folder inside it.
- A very large PDF may not fit in your phone's memory. The app then tells you so instead of closing.

Simple to use
Portrait layout, light and dark themes (Auto, Light or Dark). The screens use icons instead of text wherever possible. There is no page limit and no watermark.

Support ☕
All features are free to use. If you would like to support development, there are three optional in-app items (Coffee, Lunch and Dinner-sized Support). They do not unlock anything. A small support message may appear when you open the app (the 10th time, then every 100th) and stops once you have supported.
