About QIZU - Vocabulary Flashcards

QIZU turns flashcards into a quick daily game. Draw a card, answer it, and instantly see whether you were right. Instead of grading every card yourself on the honor system, QIZU can do the checking.

📝 THREE WAYS TO ANSWER

Type the answer — the one that makes it stick — choose one of four options, or flip the card and rate yourself: “Know it” or “Don’t know”. Choose per set and switch anytime; every mode feeds the same statistics and streak.

✅ YOU TYPE, QIZU CHECKS

Checking is forgiving: extra spaces, brackets, capitalization and Pinyin tone marks are all optional. Typed something that was right anyway? One tap counts it as correct.

🔁 WEAK CARDS COME BACK

Every card remembers how often it was asked and missed. New and difficult cards come up more often; mastered ones step back, but never disappear.

No schedules, no due-date pile-ups.

⏱️ SESSIONS THAT FIT THE MOMENT

Choose 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 or unlimited questions. Focus on tricky cards or ones you have barely seen; Retry missed brings back everything you got wrong.

🎮 FIVE MINI GAMES

Play any set as a game: Match pairs, catch words as they Rain down, Swipe true pairs from false, Blitz the clock or Build answers from tiles. Every answer counts toward your stats and streak.

📚 READY-MADE WORD LISTS

Start with a standard list instead of typing your own:

HSK 2.0: HSK 1–6
HSK 3.0: Levels 1–9
JLPT: N5–N1
TOPIK: I and II
CEFR: English A1–C1; German, French and Spanish A1–B2
English for Work & Study: Academic, Business, Workplace

43 lists, around 52,000 words, downloaded on demand, then yours to edit. Your first list is free, whatever its size, and never counts against your own card limit.

🔊 HEAR EVERY WORD

Tap play on a card to hear the word in a natural voice — Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish and English. Or switch a session to audio-only: the text stays hidden, the word plays as the card appears. Every ready-made list is fully voiced; your own cards play whenever the word is in the library. (QIZU+)

🔄 CARDS WITH UP TO THREE SIDES

A QIZU card is not limited to front and back — 汉字 / Pinyin / English, or Term / Formula / Example. Choose which side asks and which answers, in any direction, for every session.

📥 BRING YOUR OWN DECKS

Paste a list from a chat or spreadsheet, or import a CSV. Merge two sets without losing card history; export any set to CSV.

✈️ NO ACCOUNT, WORKS OFFLINE

QIZU works fully offline, with no sign-up. Sign in with Google anytime to back up and sync your cards across devices.

🔥 STAY ON A ROLL

A streak flame tracks your daily practice and changes color as it grows. Miss a day and a streak freeze quietly protects it: once a month with Free, three with QIZU+.

Charts show your minutes, cards and accuracy over time, plus an optional evening reminder.

⭐ FREE AND QIZU+

Free includes 3 sets, 100 cards of your own, one ready-made list and two runs a day of each game, up to level 3.

QIZU+ includes up to 100 sets, 10,000 cards of your own, the complete word-list catalog, card audio and audio-only questions, unlimited games, groups for practising several sets together, and 3 streak freezes per month.

QIZU+ is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription that follows your Google sign-in to every device. If it ends, your sets and cards stay where they are — you simply cannot add new ones. CSV export always works.

Built for Chinese, Japanese, Korean and any vocabulary — just as good for geography, formulas or exam facts. No ads.

What’s new

Version 1.4.0 · Updated October 18, 2026

✨ QIZU, the card character on every screen, has a fresh, consistent look, with new pictures across the app and a jogger joining the test buddies. 🎬 QIZU now moves: it celebrates a great round, cheers you on after a tough one, waves hello on an empty Home and gets set with you before a test. Each clip plays once; with Android's Remove animations on, you see the still picture. 🃏 Swipe opens with a Start button, so the first tile falls only when you're ready.
