8ctoMath - Maths Race for Kids

8ctoMath is mental arithmetic practice for children, set on a bright seabed. 8cto the octopus is the trainer, Brainy the squid is the rival, and every quiz is a race of 30 questions: answer, swim ahead, and reach the treasure before Brainy does.

THE MATHS ADAPTS TO YOUR CHILD
• Every kind of calculation has its own level. It steps up when your child gets them right and back down when they get too hard.
• Calculations that cause trouble come back more often; the ones your child knows well, less often.
• The wrong answers on offer are the mistakes children really make, so the right one has to be worked out, not guessed.
• Brainy takes a little longer than your child usually needs, so beating him means being a bit quicker than usual.
• A new child only gives a nickname and their age (4 to 12+), and 8cto picks where to start.

WHAT THEY PRACTISE
Adding and taking away (with or without zero), times tables, sharing (division) and the big times tables, such as 14 × 7. Pick any mix before each quiz.

• A quiz with no mistakes wins two stickers, one mistake still wins one. There are 200 to find: fish, flippers and feathers, claws and shells, squishy and glowing creatures, treasures, and 20 rare ones.
