About Quick Lock
Quick Lock turns off and locks your screen with a single tap, exactly like pressing the power button, but without wearing out the button.
Most "screen off" apps force you to type your PIN or pattern afterwards. Quick Lock does not: it uses the same lock action as the power button, so your fingerprint and face unlock keep working as usual.
HOW IT WORKS
- Tap the Quick Lock icon and the screen locks instantly. There is no screen, no animation and nothing left running in the foreground.
- Add the "Lock screen" tile to your Quick Settings panel for one-swipe access.
- Long-press the icon to open the settings page.
FEATURES
- Instant lock, no PIN needed to unlock with fingerprint or face
- Quick Settings tile
- Ready in seconds: switch the service on once and you are done
- Light and Dark themes, plus Ocean, Sepia, Forest and AMOLED
- 8 languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian and Hungarian
- No ads, no accounts, no internet access needed
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE: WHY IT IS NEEDED
Quick Lock uses Android's Accessibility Service API for one purpose only: to perform the system "lock screen" action when you tap the app icon or the Quick Settings tile. This is the only way for an app to lock the screen exactly like the power button, so that fingerprint and face unlock keep working.
Before you are sent to the Accessibility settings, the app shows a clear explanation and asks for your consent. The service does not read, collect, store or share anything on your screen, and it does not access or transmit any personal data. It listens to no accessibility events at all. You can switch it off at any time in Settings > Accessibility.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Requires Android 9 or newer.
- On some devices you may have to allow restricted settings once for the app (App info > ⋮ menu) before the Accessibility switch can be turned on. The app shows a button for this.
- After a restart, or after a long time without unlocking, Android itself asks for your PIN or pattern. This is a system security rule and applies to every app.
PRIVACY
