Hideaway is a calm, simple file manager with one superpower: hiding the files and folders you want to keep private — and bringing them back exactly where they were.

FILE MANAGER
• Browse your phone's storage by folder, with a clear path bar
• Search, and sort by name, date, size or type

HIDE & UNHIDE
• Hide any file or folder in a few taps, or swipe right on an item
• Optionally hide them from gallery apps too
• Every item shows its status — Visible or Hidden — with an icon and a label, never color alone
• The Vault lists everything you've hidden, grouped by type, with the folder it came from
• Unhide sends files straight back to their original folder
• Undo right after hiding

SECURITY
• 4–6 digit PIN, with fingerprint or face unlock
• Auto-lock timer, and lock when the app goes to the background
• Temporary lockout after 5 wrong PINs
• Optional decoy PIN that opens an empty vault
• Optional intruder selfie after wrong PINs
• Hide the app preview in recent apps

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Hidden files are encrypted on your phone (AES-256) — nobody can open them without the app
• Everything stays on your phone. No account, no uploads.
• Reinstalled the app? Enter your old PIN and your vault is back
• Optional recovery code to reset a forgotten PIN
• Back up and restore your hidden-items list as a file you control

WHY "ALL FILES ACCESS"?
Hideaway is a file manager. Android's "All files access" permission lets it list folders in shared storage (like Download, DCIM and Documents) and move files into and out of the vault. You can turn it off anytime in Android Settings.
