Firstmonie is the official Agent Banking mobile application from FBNBank Ghana through which only registered Agents of the financial institution are able to process financial services for and on behalf of the Bank’s customers and non-customers (unbanked or underbanked).
Agent banking is the provision of financial services to customers by a third party (Agent) on behalf of a licensed deposit taking financial institution. Rather than a branch teller, it is the owner, or employee of the owner, who attends to the customers, allowing for transactions such as Cash deposits, Cash withdrawals (The Bank and Other Banks), interbank transfers, Value Added Services like Airtime top-up, Bill payment, Account opening and so on. The Bank’s network of agents thus present a convenient and comfortable alternative for customers that require simple and easy to use digital channels.
Through this unique channel, FBNBank Ghana has added to its pack of value additions that facilitate access to everyday financial services for consumers and businesses alike such as FBNMobile, Quick Banking *894#, Online Banking for corporates and individuals plus cards (VISA Prepaid Card and MasterCard) that enhance various transactions.
This is in keeping with the Bank’s goal of creating innovative customer-friendly products and services that not only generate client enrolments but also bring populations into the financial mainstream for greater socio-economic good.
Services offered include: Account opening, Cash deposit, Cash Withdrawal, Funds Transfer (Interbank), Buy Airtime and Bill payment.
