Octo Route

Octo Route is a nautical application designed with one goal in mind – to help sailors navigate more safely, stay better informed and receive timely warnings about potential dangers at sea.

The application combines the map, vessel position and user reports in a simple interface adapted to use while sailing.

You can track your own location on the map and see current reports from other users. If you notice something while sailing that could be useful to other sailors, you can send a report directly from the map.

Octo Route allows you to report various situations, including:

• dangers and obstacles at sea
• floating objects and other potentially risky situations
• patrol in a specific area
• other information important for safer sailing

User reports are displayed on the map so that other sailors nearby can adjust their sailing in time and increase caution.

Octo Route is designed as a community of sailors who share useful information from the sea with each other. Multiple reports from the same area can help confirm the relevance of the information, while outdated reports are automatically removed to keep the map clear and useful.

Your current location is used to display your own position on the map and is not publicly displayed to other users as the location of your vessel.

Special emphasis is placed on ease of use. The most important information is available without unnecessary menus so that the application can be used quickly and easily even while sailing.

Octo Route is not intended to replace official navigation charts, navigation equipment, regulations or the judgment of the vessel's captain. The data on the chart and reports from other users may contain errors, be incomplete or no longer correspond to the actual situation.

Octo Route should therefore be used as an additional source of information that can increase situational awareness and help in the timely recognition of potential danger.

For safe sailing, always use appropriate official navigation sources, monitor weather conditions and comply with local regulations.

**Octo Route – more information at sea, fewer unpleasant surprises.**
