MGRS Squad

MGRS Squad is a tactical mapping app for field training, outdoor navigation practice, and small-team coordination. Work offline on your device, or start an online team session to share live positions with people you trust.

OFFLINE TACTICAL MODE

• Downloadable Lithuania (LT) and Latvia (LV) map packages for use without internet

• Satellite / map basemap with MGRS-style grid overlay (online basemap when connected)

• Point and radius markers, drawings, and perimeters (no photo markers)

• GPS position, compass HUD, and heading-up map follow

• Azimuths: true north (T) or magnetic (M) — on markers, distance ruler legs, crosshair HUD

• Distance ruler with editable legs and azimuth on each segment

• Azimuth + distance search: drop a point by bearing and range from your position

• Bullseye reference point on the map — shows range and bearing from bullseye to your GPS

• Breadcrumb / trail recording on this device

• SOS helper that opens SMS with your coordinates (you choose the recipient)

• Backup and restore your local map data

ONLINE TEAM SESSION

• Create or join a group with a 6-character code (up to 9 people)

• Live teammate positions, shared markers, activity, and short team chat

• Free trial for online access, or unlock more time with an optional rewarded ad

• Anonymous session ID — no email or password required

IMPORTANT

• Offline LT/LV map packages work without a network after download. Online Google Maps tiles still need a connection when you use that basemap.

• The app does not use the camera or photo library — photo markers are not supported.

• Not an official military, government, or emergency-services product. GPS, compass, and maps can be wrong or delayed — do not rely on the app as your only navigation source.

• SOS SMS does not call 112 or other emergency numbers for you.
