Tabline: Guitar Pro Tab Player

You downloaded a tab and your phone had nothing to open it with. Tabline opens it.

Tabline is a guitar pro tab player for Android. Open a .gp, .gpx, .gp5, .gp4 or .gp3 file — or MusicXML and .mxl — read it as real notation and tablature, and hear it play through a full General MIDI sound bank.

OPENS WHAT A TAB EDITOR SAVES
• Guitar Pro 3 to Guitar Pro 8: .gp, .gpx, .gp5, .gp4, .gp3
• The guitar pro tabs you already have, on the phone you already carry
• MusicXML and compressed .mxl: a MusicXML player and MusicXML viewer in the same app
• Straight from Downloads, WhatsApp, Drive or Files: Open with → Tabline
• Multi-track scores — pick the track you are playing

READ IT THE WAY YOU READ MUSIC
• Standard notation and tablature together, or tab on its own
• A still page: the music stays put and the bar you are playing lights up
• A guitar tab viewer that draws the real thing: beams, rests, bends, slides, ties
• Sizes chosen for a phone in a stand, and a tablet layout that uses the width

HEAR EVERY BAR
• A guitar pro player that plays the file instead of just drawing it
• Real instrument sounds, not beeps
• A cursor that moves with the music, bar by bar
• Count-in and a metronome
• Any tempo you like: this is a tab player, not a recording

ALSO A SHEET MUSIC READER
MusicXML out of MuseScore, Finale or Sibelius opens the same way as a Guitar Pro file. If you write in one and practise in the other, the sheet music reader and the guitar tab player are the same app.

WHAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY OPEN WITH IT
Guitar Pro tabs saved out of the editor, guitar pro tabs downloaded from a forum in 2009, and MusicXML exported from notation software — the MusicXML player and the MusicXML viewer are the same screen, so there is nothing to convert first. A guitar pro player for the file you already have, not a library you have to subscribe to.

PRACTISE THE HARD BAR — TABLINE PRO
• Slow a passage down and loop it between two bars
• A speed trainer that ramps back up as you get it
• Per-track mixer: mute, solo and volume
• The fretboard: see the note you are playing on the neck
Tabline Pro is a one-time unlock. Never a subscription.

YOURS, AND OFFLINE
Your files never leave the device. No account, no upload, no ads, nothing to sign in to — a guitar tab player that works on a train.

Built for guitarists who already have the files: the ones a tab editor saved, the ones a forum posted in 2009, the ones that came out of MuseScore this morning. Tabline is the guitar tab viewer for the folder you have been carrying around for years, and a guitar pro tab player for the ones you download next.

If it will not open one, tell us the format — the report sends the format and the error, never the file.
