With the MonaNRW app, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia has been actively involving applicants in the application review process as part of EU agricultural funding since 2024. From 2025, proof of the eco-regulation 5 identification types will be mandatory using the app.
In addition, as part of satellite-based area monitoring, voluntary contributions can continue to be made to clarify unclear control results.

Eco-regulation 5

The app is used to demonstrate the existence of eligible eco-regulation 5 indicators. Optionally, an identification function specifically developed for agricultural promotion can be used. If proof is missing, the areas will be declared as of September 30th. removed from the application without penalty.

Satellite-based area monitoring

With the help of the app, located photos can be submitted to the EU paying agency as proof of the condition, use or activity on one's own land. This includes, for example, proof of the crop being grown or proof of the minimum activity being carried out on fallow land and strips.

The photos submitted via the app can be used to demonstrate compliance with funding requirements, obligations and other requirements in questionable matters by the applicants themselves, without the need for an on-site field inspection.
